Feeling overwhelmed by the rush of holiday shopping, crowds, and decorating? Return to a simpler time on Sunday, December 9 at the Coolidge Holiday Open House in historic Plymouth Notch. The Historic Site will be open free of charge 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. There will be special presentations and a variety of family activities (Sleigh Rides, Baking, Story telling).

The Coolidge Birthplace will be decorated as it would have been in 1872, the year the future president was born. Open House visitors can learn about cheese and watch it being made at the Plymouth Cheese Factory. The factory still produces several varieties of the famous and award winning “granular curd” Plymouth Cheese, based on the 1890 recipe. Samples available!  There will be a Wine Tasting that day, and several other Vermont specialty food purveyors will also be on site offering samples of their products.  Our museum and store will tempt the discerning shopper with old-fashioned toys, Vermont specialty foods and a wide variety of Vermont-made crafts. It’s the perfect time to shop locally and pick up those unique stocking stuffers! Or for mail order visit us on-line at     www.plymouthcheese.com
